Retention (Archiving)

Retention (Archiving) is the long-term, orderly, protected and alteration-proof filing or storage of documentation from the time of their creation until their destruction to allow access to required information in case it is needed.

The availability and legibility of the documentation must be ensured throughout the duration of the retention.
